RCABC has formed the following two committees:
- Course Standards Committee
- Conservation and Access Committee

| The Course Standards Committee |
This committee consists of about 10 instructors appointed by the executive for a one year term from a list of candidates. The responsibility of the Course Standards Committee is the implementation and the upholding of teaching and course standards as sanctioned by RCABC. Subcommittees exist, e.g. the C1 subcommittee, which is responsible for the course standards for closed canoes.
