There are several types of instructors:

• Lakewater Level 1 and 2 (basic canoeing instruction)
• Moving Water (river canoeing)
• Tripping (canoe camping)
• Ocean, Poling, River Rescue, C1 and Big Canoe
• Guiding (commercial guide training)

Search Tips

• Consider contacting several instructors
• Check the Upcoming Courses page to see if there are courses already scheduled
• Contact the Instructor Coordinator if you are not sure of which type of instructor you need
• All RCABC instructors have Lakewater Instructor certification and can teach LW Levels 1 and 2 (Basic Tandem and Basic Solo)
• Some RCABC instructors choose not to advertise publicly, so their names won't show up in the results
• Only instructors who have paid their membership fee will be shown
