The Big Canoe Rendezvous typically occurs on the Thompson River each year on the second weekend of September. It is held on the Thompson River near Savona on high volume class 2 whitewater. It has traditionally been co-hosted by the Victoria Canoe and Kayak Club (VCKC) and the Thompson Rivers Interior Paddling Society (TRIPS Canoe Club).
Other clubs are welcome to attend with their own big canoe , and a few seats are often available with the Victoria and Kamloops crews.

There is no registration. This event is an open invitation.
Skills and Equipment
You must have previous experience/training and all of your own PPE and whitewater equipment including additional flotation (eg. airbags). This may be previous tandem moving water experience and crews can get coaching on big canoe moving water techniques from the host clubs.
